As a native New Yorker, Kristina developed her passion for photography as a teenager. This progressed to full time studies at the prestigious School of Visual Arts in New York City. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Photography, which included a one-year fine art sabbatical in Stockholm, Sweden, she embarked on her photographic career.
Her career began as a full-time photographer for Macy’s in New York City, where she specialized in fashion, lifestyle and interior design, ultimately solidifying her position as one of the key photographers. With her work published consistently for in-house and external use, which included catalogue, billboards and the New York Times advertisements, she gained a sense commercial and editorial experience.
Kristina’s life long passion for sailing and a love of adventure launched her into the incredible world of yachting. Through her love of travel and exposure to Europe, she moved to the South of France in 2006. As a freelance photographer within the mega yacht, sailing, property and lifestyle industries, her work has been published and featured in many international yachting magazines, art books, lifestyle and travel publications. Her work has also been commissioned for billboards and advertising for many of the industry’s top shipbuilders and brokers. Throughout her career she has been contracted to document many of the prestigious and glamorous events such as the Cannes Film Festival and exclusive sporting events such as the Monaco Grand Prix. She returned to her native US in 2018. Kristina is constantly challenged by the vast diversity of her work: the stillness of capturing luxury interiors, the rush of adrenaline from hanging from the top of a mast, the intimacy of creating a portrait to working with her production team and crew….all of whom are instrumental to her work. Her outgoing nature creates a fun environment where everyone feels at ease.
With a career spanning over 23 years, she endeavors to bring a unique perspective to her photography and filmmaking. She now calls South Florida her home.
